Ossining, NY, Sept., 2020- It is with great sadness that we announce that Victoria Home will cease to be doing business as a skilled nursing facility and began transferring residents to homes of their choosing on August 24, 2020. This decision was not made lightly, especially considering that Victoria Home had endured numerous monumental changes in its 105-year history as a not-for-profit provider. Victoria Home always provided 5-star care to our residents and this continued until our last resident was relocated. We did our very best to get our residents through this with the compassion, dignity and grace that Victoria Home is known for. Victoria Home, a state certified, not-for profit licensed skilled nursing facility, exclusively accommodated 49 full-time male and female residents, of all races and creeds. Nestled on a Victorian estate with manicured lawns overlooking the Hudson River, Victoria Home blended old world tradition and charm with modern healthcare treatments in order to provide residents with the highest levels of personalized care and attention in a comfortable, nurturing environment. We encouraged our residents to maintain an independent lifestyle, all while assuring structure and supervision when needed. In addition to personalized healthcare services, each and every day we strived to provide all of our residents, long and short-term alike, with comfortable surroundings, intellectual stimulation, friendship, emotional well-being and personal dignity.
